Inside Velocity Projects
Four views, one task
List, board, timeline and calendar all read the same records. Change a due date on the board and the timeline moves with it.
Milestones that mean something
Tie deliverables to billing cycles and payment releases, so “milestone reached” and “money moved” are the same event.
Time that reaches the P&L
Log against a task, roll it into project cost, and read margin per project without exporting anything.
Section-level permissions
Scope, credentials, budget and team are separately permissioned. A designer sees the brief; only finance sees the numbers.
Free client portal seats
Clients see their own projects, the tasks you chose to share, and the thread. Enforced in the database, not the interface.
A guided daily pass
A ten-step workflow walks a project manager through unassigned work, slipping milestones, follow-ups and priorities every morning.
Stop rebuilding the same plan in three tools
The task workspace renders one set of records as a list, a kanban board, a timeline or a calendar. Drag a card between columns and the status changes everywhere. Overlapping blocks resolve the way a calendar should, and dragging an unscheduled task onto a day schedules it.
- Board, list, timeline and calendar over identical data
- Subtasks, comments, attachments and a full activity log per task
- Keyboard shortcuts and click-to-schedule for fast triage

Know which clients are actually worth keeping
Every project carries its budget, its outsourcing platform costs, its logged hours and its fee history. Profit per project is a column, not a spreadsheet weekend — and it updates as the work happens rather than at the end of the quarter.
- Budget, cost and margin on the project record itself
- Outsourcing platform fees tracked per project
- Billing cycles for retainers and recurring engagements

Better together, fine on their own
Each product stands alone. These share the same records, so adding one needs no integration work.
Questions we get asked
Can clients see the project without paying for a seat?
Yes. Client portal seats are free and unlimited. Clients see only their own projects and the specific tasks your team marked as shared, and that restriction is enforced by database row-level security rather than by hiding buttons.
Does time tracking feed billing?
Logged time rolls into project cost and profitability immediately. Milestones can be tied to billing cycles so releasing a milestone and recording the payment are the same action.
Can I hide budgets from delivery staff?
Yes. Projects are split into independently permissioned sections — overview, scope, credentials, team, budget, outsourcing and milestones — and each has its own view and edit permission with a scope of nobody, own records, team records or everything.
